I totally got more than it was worth, too. XD He offered $160 for it even though it was slightly rusted and the tires were flat. XD But he took it! Even the girly helmet! :D *flails* It's gooooone!

I also probably spent too much money sending a box back home. It ended up being $39-ish for priority, which would take three days, vs. $22-ish, which would have taken four weeks. o_o Does that sound like a good deal to you guys? I suck at this stuff. XD

I need to get rid of my iron and ironing board now, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with all these little storage containers. Probably just leave them here, though I cringe at such a thought. Or maybe I'll pawn them off on Eri. XD Ah well. Other than that, I think I'm mostly done! Yay!

I also have a translation for Water Dance in the works, but I'm waiting for Mer darling to get back to me (if she does) because I have some issues with stuff I put in parentheses that I don't know if I want to keep. XD I'm very traditional when it comes to translating, focusing more on the actual Japanese meaning and then working on the English, so I'm always wary about sticking things in.

So, I don't know if I mentioned it, but a while back my roommate brought her boyfriend over they pretty much had sex while they thought I was asleep. Yesterday her boyfriend stopped by (during the day) and he actually apologized to me about it. XD I really appreciated that. I still don't understand how a nice guy could be with someone like Kujira-san, as I have dubbed her (or maybe Hogeisen-san *Shot for being mean*), but hey. Randomly, we ended up on the topic of boybands (because he asked me about my Jin poster) and actually talked for a little bit. XD It was rather nice. In other news, I left a conspicuous note on my roommate's bed about her... shenanigans with her boyfriend when she thought I was asleep. I think it worked, because she hasn't been coming back until the mornings and the guy hasn't been over since I left it. XD I didn't mean she couldn't bring him over at all, but hey, I'm not complaining. Personally, I think I was very polite about it considering the circumstances, and as I told anamuan, I wasn't like 'OMG YOUR BOYFRIEND SMELLS LIKE SEAWEED AND YOUR MUSIC SUCKS GTFO'. XD So yeah. I have to go to Wallllmart today. >.< I don't want to. I'll probably end up buying a lot of stuff I don't need, because that's just how good I am about controlling my expenditures. I took my books to the post office today, and goddamn that box was heavy, especially since it was hot out. Nobody offered to stop and help me carry it, either. :| Bitches. And when I got to the post office (which was a dinky little place), They were like 'oh, we don't take credit cards'. ...seriously, wtf. Maybe I'm just spoiled from Vegas, but seriously? A post office, not having a credit card machine? What the hell, man. So I ran over and got some money from an ATM, even though the lady was bitchy and like 'WELL WE CLOSE IN TWENTY MINUTES SO HURRY UP'. Whatever. It's done. *_* Books successfully sent. ♥

While I was at the marketplace, I decided to look around, and I found a Sanrio shop! It was kind of painfully cute in there, guys. SO MUCH PINK. But I bought my thank-you presents (read: candy) for the teachers who wrote me letters of rec, so. :D Yay!

I also turned in my study abroad stuff for Nichidai, and I made sure to stress that I need to know if it's a yay or nay before May 19th. So... all that's left to do is wait! :x Wish my luck, guys. ♥ ♥ ♥

All in all, it was a highly successful day, I feel. ♥ And so, I am happy. I have a paper to write tomorrow night, but I don't even care, really. I got out a lot of bitching about my tea professor with some of the other students, so. XD I feel better.

Oh! I also got my student evaluations back, from the students I did Interchange with (my other job, which I kinda don't have now because they don't have a shift for me, crais), and they all said I was nice. ♥ It made me quite happy. >w< So, yay!

So to continue with the theme of really cheesy Indian movies, we watched this. It's not as funny as the last one, but I like how she can make arrows magically appear out of thin air. I also had a dream that this week was spring break, but also that my essay for my tea class was due today, and I promptly panicked because I didn't know it was suddenly April 22nd. I told myself I wouldn't download album leaks, but I forgot about that as soon as the first Care leak came out, so w/e. XD I will probably have about fifty versions of this song by the time I actually get the CD, but I don't mind. *_* I also really, really like 1582! It's nothing like I was expecting. I'm quite pleased--someday for somebody was okay, w/o notice?? was lame, etc. etc., so I'm really pleased. My roommate's brought her boyfriend over the past couple of nights, and while I'm not really comfortable with him spending the night (if only because I get up several hours earlier and thus it would be awkward to change in the same room), he's surprisingly nice. A lot more considerate than she is. XD I'm surprised! Then again, opposites do attract, so w/e (either that or there's something terribly wrong with his head). So yeah. Um. I had somewhere to be for thanksgiving. ♥ I am grateful.

I have a lot of things I could say right now, about how I've taken my family for granted and things like that, but I think those realizations are best kept to myself. So I'll just keep it short and sweet.

Christmas Wish List!

The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me.") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD.") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/tv."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your e-mail address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. (Note: home address, not required!)

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.

step 2. Surf around your friends list
(or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.

Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- or even know where you could get someone's dream pure bred basset hound for free -- do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
