One with the teacups

So considering it's the awesome Gabe Saporta's birthday, I feel like I should once again pimp Cobra Starship, one of my absolute favourite American bands. I won't claim to know everything about them or be their biggest fan, but I love them a lot.

My favourite album is Viva La Cobra, but their first album, while the city sleeps, we rule the streets is very good too. They also sang the theme song for Snakes On A Plane, and they've done awesome remakes of other songs, like Hollaback Boy and I Kissed A Boy, which is totally awesome and I adore it. XD They also did a cover of Billie Jean. Gabe, the lead singer, would also have sex with Johnny Depp.

I love Gabe a lot. XD

Some of my favourite songs are One Day, Robots Will Cry which has connections to one of my absolute favourite fics of all time. :D It's completely unlike their typical sound, and gorgeous. I also love My Moves Are White (White Hot, That Is) because it makes me think of Jin and it's totally awesome. But I'll let you listen for yourself. ;)

In other news, I am totally in love with this and this. They are both stunning and gorgeous songs and I really, really, really love them. *________* I've been listening to them both all day. This isn't the first time I've found myself really wanting to play Castlevania because of the music. XD

I'm still a little bit sick, but I'm feeling much better. ♥ Also, my beloved Adryn-hime is back in Japan! So I am totally happy. :D

In fandom news: Ryo is a sweetheart and Jin goes to amusement parks with foreigners. XD I really loved Ryo's interview, especially the "I think that when a girl and a guy fight, no matter who’s at fault, the guy should be the one to apologise first." bit. I'm not sure I agree, but I think it's very sweet nonetheless. ♥

I had other stuff to talk about, but now I can't remember what. Um. ...Yeah. If I keep talking, I'll probably just ramble about food, and... I'm not Yamapi, so I won't do that. :D *runs away*

So today was basically "let's figure out how to make the apartment warm" day. I figured out how to use the heater instead of the air conditioner, and I found the heater in the shower, too. :D So yeah.

In case you don't have me on twitter, I am sick. :( I stayed home today--I feel okay, but I have next to no voice, and I was supposed to have a presentation tomorrow so I wanted to save it for that. Buuuuut~ school is canceled tomorrow because of a typhoon! Yay! \:D/ Oh weather gods, I love you.

I bought medicine, but it was 1000 yen for 12 capsules ($10 FOR 12 FREAKING PILLS) so now I have no money again. ARGH. I still don't have my scholarship, and James said they told him he'll get his on the 23rd, which is... ugh. I need to pay my rent (which is 30,000) by the 10th and buy another commuter pass by the 15th (I only got mine for a month, which was a little over 10,000). So basically I'm gonna have to take out another $500 for rest of the month (that'll leave me with like, $100, assuming they can even get my scholarship by the 23rd. IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM IF I HAD IT ALREADY. GRRR. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE. *stabs administration*

It wouldn't be so frustrating if some other people hadn't already gotten theirs. :\ They said most people's was delayed because of the new government and things have to be "cleared", by if that's the case, why did like, three people get it? Were they not ~suspicious~ or something? Meh.

I hate being sick away from home, it's always the worst. And I'm actually happy here, in Hawaii I was completely miserable when sick, and I'm still a whiny brat. XD Sorry, guys. I'll shut up now. ♥

The gas guy came by today. I dunno what it was for, but apparently there was no problem with my stove. XD And he gave me the number to call in case there's an explosion or something. I declined to mention I would probably be dead if that happened. XD Ah well.

I have the sudden craving for a corn dog. Or a pretzel dog. Mmmm. Or a grilled cheese sandwich. I AM STARTING TO MISS AMERICAN FOOD. Maybe tomorrow I'll go to McDonald's and see if they sell corn dogs--I dunno why they would, but eh. I saw on a website that they sell them at most grocery stores here, but I find that hard to believe, so I'll start with the American place first. XD

When all else fails, Jin being adorable always makes me happy. ♥

Stubborn cold is annoyingly stubborn. I mean, I was never really all that sick to begin with, but the fact that I'm still kind of sick is irritating. >.< Stuffy noses and sore throats are the bane of my existence.

Anyhoo! That's why I haven't posted lately. I worked so hard to save some choco for easter, and I succeeded, but I woke up on easter morning with a sore throat! >.< And it hasn't gone away completely, blargh. Anyway, how was your easter/pesach/spring-like holiday, f-list? :DDD Have you had fun?

alskfhalkfh I've missed so many birthdays lately, and I'm so sorry. >.< People were saying there were a lot of march babies on their f-lists, but I've seen more April birthdays than anything else! ♥ ♥ ♥ I hope you've all enjoyed yourselves, and for those of you to still have birthdays this year, hopefully I'll make it for those! (Don't count on it, though, my memory for dates is notoriously bad since we never celebrate birthdays on the right days anyway back home.)

I actually meant to post yesterday, but I ended up getting distracted by fanvids and stuff. :x (And Jennifer Lopez, randomly...) So, yes. I think I should just give up on planning to do things altogether, because every time I do, I never end up actually doing it. XD I'm kind of a failure at life. Um. ._.;;;

Guh, I have so much stuff I need to do! I got some nice jeans from JC Penney's (that fit, omg!) and shoes, but they don't fit, so I have to send those back. I also have to start shipping my stuff back home, because MAY 19TH I'm going home! ♥ ♥ ♥ So excited. I also need to get another passport photo and fill out my last form for Nihon Daigaku so they can get my application and either accept or reject me, so I know whether or not to buy a plane ticket back to Hawaii, or to Japan. Pray/hope/keep your fingers crossed/make sacrificial offerings for me! <3333

I keep thinking of stuff I want to post about, but as soon as I think about it, I tell somebody and thus I lose the desire to post. XD This is a bad cycle. Um. Yes. I've been downloading the leaks from the KAT-TUN album as they come out, and so far I think I love almost all of them. *_* ♥ ♥ ♥ Especially Moon. I wish my mp3 player was working, but it's still not. >.< This is really irritating, guys. Blagggggh.

Watched the inauguration, finally. It was lovely. I like Obama’s honesty, and I think that just the fact that he’s made everyone hopeful is doing a lot. I really hope things turn around. ♥
